![]() Looking online, I did not find a solution or a patch for this since flash player has been discontinued.ĭoes anyone have a solution to this or know a way to trick pro tools into not needing flash player to open? I really want to start working on my music again now that I'm out of school and I would rather do that on my faster running PC so I can get a lot more done each session. KB4577586 will remove the native Flash Player installation on Windows 10 and 8.1 devices it is installed on. I've tried running it as administrator and in compatibility mode with older versions, but each time it asks me to download the latest version of flash player. Adobe Flash will be retired at the end of 2020 and companies like Microsoft, Google, and Mozilla have announced that they will drop support for the product in their browsers and systems. ![]() It's more than likely that you already have it installed, but since most browser block Flash by default at this point, you probably need to enable it in the browser. I at least have it installed on my other PC, but it is older and runs slower, and I do not know if I will run into the same problem as I have not used pro tools since 2019 (I've been finishing up college so I put the music to the side for a second). Flash Player is a built-in component of IE, Edge and Chrome on Windows 10. ![]() ![]() I don't know how I am supposed to get into Pro Tools SE and start making music if it needs a software plug-in that doesn't exist anymore. So I installed Pro Tools SE (I know it's old but I've had it since I started making music in 2010) on my new gaming PC and it installed fine, except when I try to boot it up it says that I need the latest version of flash player installed and tries to take me to the adobe site to install it, but we all know that flash player was discontinued. ![]()
